Resolve To Share More In 2013 And Beyond

The Year To Share More

Start by Sharing This Post with Your Twitter Followers today.

They might, in turn, share it with their readers and Facebook fans who will also do the same. Do you see where this is going?

Now imagine if the same thing happens to one of your own posts. It will, if you share other people’s content with your readers. People whose content you Retweet on Twitter or Like on Facebook will reciprocate and share your stuff with their readers.

The more you share, the more you get! Try it. It works.

Here is Adrienne Smith’s post “Cool Blog Tips In November” that I want you to read and then share it with your readers to prove this fact. And don’t stop there. Find other interesting stuff to share with your readers. Ask them to ‘share the love and spread it around’ as Adrienne likes to put it.

Don’t Plagiarise

As you go about sharing other people’s content, just don’t make it look like it’s your own material. Make it clear that it belongs to another person who worked very hard to produce it. Acknowledge the source of your material and use quotation marks where necessary.

Another article that is worth sharing is “This Is Why You Must Use Twitter” by Mark Schaefer of Businesses Grow. Mark also believes in sharing, as you’ll soon find out.

Social Media Is About Sharing

Mark’s article illustrates beautifully how and why social media is about sharing. From mundane, inconsequential titbits of information to life-saving breaking news stories – people share it via social networks. The very fact that you’re reading this piece means that you also believe in sharing. Will you share this post with your readers?

Bloggers share their expertise on the Internet and, at the same time inspire their readers to pass that information on to their audiences. Online marketers, especially, know the importance of sharing their content with as many people as possible. That explains why some of them are even prepared to buy Twitter followers. Sharing is a game of numbers.

If numbers mean anything to you, be it in terms of page views, subscribers, comments on your blog or Twitter followers, then join the sharing club and reap the rewards that come with it.

I am in a sharing mood today. Here is my last request to you: Share this post with your readers and Twitter followers! If you don’t really like it, just drop me a line in the comment section below and tell me what you think about it. Deal?
